A New Chapter...

2ndSaturdayGirlies

This week has been a roller coaster of emotions, to say the least.

Skyler called me Tuesday, and told me something that I wasn't expecting. At all. We won't be going through senior year together, like we thought. And yea that might seem small & unimportant. But let me just tell ya... Skyler & I were always together. ALWAYS. Every class we had together, we were right next to each other. Never paying attention, always making the best of school, and the best of every situation. We made it pretty dang fun.

This week has been one filled with lots of tears, and lots of memories shared. Just reminiscing about all the crazy memories we had made over the past three years.

This year we got very close, our whole friend group came to be this year. Filled with the best friends ever, always seeking the Lord together, and always encouraging one another. The rest of the group found out last night at dinner that Skyler was moving schools, and it became more real. I think everyone was just in shock, and for most it hasn't sunk in.

Skyler & I were driving home from church last night, and just talking through the emotions we have felt through this week. The Lord was just telling me to pray over Skyler, and this new adventure that she's about to embark on. As I was praying, I realized that God's plan is so much better than ours. He has such an amazing plan for Skyler in this next year. Although we spent most of this week crying and upset over this decision, even though it will be hard, God has a plan, and this is part of it.

Skyler is such a light to everyone she comes into contact with. She is going to carry the light and love of Jesus Christ with her as she walks the halls of Lutheran South next year. She is going to lead so many people closer to God. Amazing things are headed Skyler's way, and I can't wait to see what God will do in her life. I love you Skyler, and I'm excited to see what God has planned for senior year, even though we aren't together, great things are going to happen.
